Department of Education Learnerships 2022
Department of Education has a purpose which is to provide solid education to youth people in South Africa. They ensure that young talented individuals obtain valuable knowledge and skills that will help them in their workplace. This program aims at providing communities with the best quality education.
Available Learnerships
Department of Education Learnerships are all related to the educational process but also includes a variety of other fields seen as scarce skills. Depending on the learnership, some candidates may need to complete more than one for a formal qualification.
Fundamental Learnership fields:
- Primary School Teacher
- High School Teacher
- Training Facilitator
Basic Requirements
Interested candidates must meet all the requirements set by the Department. Below we have listed some of those requirements, yet, there may be more required depending on the selected field.
Basic Requirements needed:
- Applicants must be a permanent South African resident.
- candidates must be in possession of a valid South African ID book.
- Candidates must have completed
- Candidates must be South African citizens
- Candidates must be currently unemployed
If applicable candidates may also need to have a certificate or degree within their field. Candidates must also provide all their academic transcripts and be sure the information they provide is current. It is recommended to also include a detailed CV and reference letters if available.
Application Process
In South Africa we have nine provinces and each province has their own Department of Education. Online Applications cannot be accessed, interested individuals can download the Z83 application form and submit it along with all required documentation to their nearest Department of Education. The closing dates of this program differ each year therefore it is advisable that interested individuals should check the department’ official website to see if there anything or not. Alternatively Interested Individuals can talk to someone working at the local Department of Education before applying.
