Government Learnership Programme 2022

South African Government has a plenty of Different Learnership programs which interested talented individuals can choose from. South Africa has nine provinces and each province has different platforms that the use to advertise these learnerships.

These Learnerships help talented young individuals to gain valuable experience and skills that will assist them in their workplace. These programs usually take place for a period of twelve month.

Successful Candidates will receive a stipend however the stipend does not include accommodation, transport and meal costs. Candidates need to take responsibility of their own costs. Government departments encourage applicants to apply for learnerships that are within their province.

Government Learnership Available

These learnership programs provide successful candidates with opportunity to do practical and theory part. Successful Candidates must know that these learnerships do not guarantee them a permanent contract of employment however some people may be offered a permanent position.

There are frequent learnerships within the different sectors of Government.

Government Learnership Programme: Basic Requirements

All candidates must be aged between 18 and 35. Candidates must include a detailed curriculum vitae and information they feel may be important to their applications. All the necessary documents must certified and not older than three months. Candidates must be permanent South African residents and citizens.

Candidates will also require to the following:

  • All candidates must be in possession of Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Applicants must be able to read, write and speak in English
  • All applicants must be Computer literate
  • Candidates must be currently unemployed
  • Candidates must be self-motivated and a team player
  • Flexibility with a commitment to learn, but moreover willingness to work
  • All applicants must be able to work under pressure
  • Applicants must be innovative, professional, honest, ethical and a great listener

Application Process

Learnerships online applications processes are made available during the year, depending on the Department.? Some of these learnership application forms can only be collected at the Departments involved. Most of the Government learnerships will be processed on a Z83 application form. This form must be accompanied by all relevant documentation.
