This Learnership Program helps young talented individuals to gain valuable skills and experience within this industry. The program usually takes a period of 12 months or longer. This program focuses on practical only successful candidates will do the theory part. Successful candidates may offered a permanent position. Others may be skilled and experience enough to be part of tourism sectors.
Basic Requirements
Applicants must be aged between 18-35 years old. Applicants must include a detailed curriculum vitae and other documents they may be vital to their applications. Documents must be certified and not older than 3 months.
Please also include ID, certified copies of all related certificates and proof of address. Applicants must be a permanent South African resident and citizen. Applicants are usually only allowed to do one learnership, through one of the Departments. Applicants with disabilities are welcome to apply to all Departments of Government.
candidates must have the following requirements
- Candidates must have completed Grade 12.
- Candidates must be able to read, write and speak English
- Proficiency in one other National Language
- Applicants must be Computer knowledgeable
- Applicants must not have a permanent employment
- Be self-motivated, able to work independently and a team player
- Must show flexibility with a commitment to learn and show enthusiasm towards working
- Applicants must be able to work under pressure
- Applicants must be innovative, professional, honest, ethical and a great listener
Application Process
Interested Individuals are encouraged to apply online as Applications are made available on the internet every year. However you can also visit the department offices to collect application forms. Most of the Government learnerships will be processed on a Z83 application form. This form must be accompanied by all relevant documentation.
Applicants must ensure that their application forms are completed and signed before they submit them. Application forms that are incomplete and unsigned will not be taken into account. Late Application will not be taken into considerations. Qualifications and details submitted will be checked if whether they are correct or not.
Successful individuals will be contacted for Interviews. Applicants who have not receive anything after 3 months of the closing dates must assume that their application was unsuccessful. Any application made through an email or fax will not be taken into account.
Learnerships by each Department of Government are advertised as they become available yearly. Applicants can also find more information with their local Departments of Tourism, University Campus Career Centers or keep an eye on the press for learnership advertisements.
