Vodacom every year invites young talented individuals to be part of this learnership program. This initiative will help young people to gain skills and working experience. The aim of this program is to reduce poverty and unemployment rate within various communities of South Africa. The Vodacom Learnership program forms part of the National Skills Development Strategy.
Vodacom is one of the largest cell phone companies in South Africa and is part of the international company, Vodafone.
Vodacom Learnership Program:Basic Requirements
There are certain requirements for being accepted into Vodacom learnerships:
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be a permanent South African citizen.
- Candidates must be in possession of a Matric certificate or
- Candidates must be in possession of a Further Education and Training Certificate NQF (Level 4); or
- Candidates have successfully completed the National Certificate in Vocational Studies (NQF Level 4)
- Applicants must have at least a C pass for Mathematics and Science
- All applicants must have at least a basic knowledge regarding Information Technology, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science.
- To apply for the Engineering and Operations Learnership you must have the necessary qualifications from a university of technology or electronic engineering academy.
- You will need a computer science, computer engineering, or information system qualification to apply for the Information Technology Learnership
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 35 years
All applicants must not currently be employed
Applicants must not currently be busy with any other studies
Vodacom Learnership Application Process
In order to apply for a Vodacom Learnership, you must complete an application form in your own handwriting.
- Interested candidates can check for further information from the Vodacom website.
- Candidates must ensure that you specify the learnership post that you are applying for (e.g. Vodacom Engineering and Operations Learnership)
- Candidates must make sure that they sign their application forms before they submit them
- Copies of all necessary documents must certified and not older than three months
- Applications can also be e-mailed to Externalbursars@vodacom.co.za.
Please take into account that:
- Application forms that are late or unsigned will not be considered
- Photocopied forms will not be considered
Candidates will be responsible for their own accommodation, meal and transport costs. It is therefore suggested that you apply for a learnership in the Region or Management Area closest to where you live.
